Husband with delusional disorder

Postby jamuna1 » Thu Oct 28, 2021 12:40 pm

Last year, my husband was diagnosed with an acute psychotic episode (from undiagnosed severe depression/work stress). It was so severe, requiring him to be sectioned for 2 weeks.

Currently he’s on meds and is doing well. But he has intermittent delusional thoughts. He interprets what happened last year to be a result of hypnosis. Every now and then he blames me for getting him sectioned and always says I should count myself lucky that he’s still with me “after everything i did.”

I know what he says is due to mental illness.
But it’s so hard to hear.

I don’t have any questions to ask. I just wanted to write this. It’s tough

Some of us don't know how lucky we are!
So sorry to hear what you have been through along with what you continue to endure.

Hoping you have some form of release (what ever it might be) to try and make the most of what life has to offer.

Best Wishes...
