Birds

Postby lobster » Tue Dec 18, 2012 7:35 pm

Has anyone seen any unusual birds in unusual places latelely?

A beautiful bird of prey, possibly a falcon turned up in my garden this week, I think it has eaten the mouse that has been scurrying about.

Nice!!
There is a farming field not too far from here, A kestrel or 2 are usually hovering over the field. Went to a bird reserve and had a marsh harrier dive bomb a ft from me to grab a mouse, the harrier is a big bird!!! (i come from a family line of bird watchers -_-')

I've spent the past few days bird watching in my back garden.
I've crossed off my list:
Thrush's
Robins
Black birds
Blue tits
Red kites
Starlings

This weekend the RSPB are wanting people to collate the number of birds that visit your garden.
Just go to their website to input your data.

My neighbours have a robin living in the hedge, i was sat on the wall in the sunshine eating a sandwich and out it popped, brilliant!

i love watching birds too amazing things the way they ride the air.
