Re: Help

Dear Doreen, I would suggest the following first - see your Gp and be very clear to him/her that you are still experiencing low mood that is affecting your ability to function. You may need a referral to a specialist ( a psychiatrist ), as you may need someone with the knowledge of other types of an...

Feeling better in the sunshine...on TV

Julia Bradbury (who does the walks around Britain programmes), has done a set of programmes about her walks in Greece - worth a look, if only for the sunshine....
Or you might like to take a train journey with Michel Protillo ...on BBC 2 - repeats but worth watching.

Re: Help

Dear Doreen, Thank you for posting here. I think your experience is not uncommon, I do have some ideas, but I like to take some time to think things through before I post them here. There is help and things that you can do, so that you start to feel better and so that life becomes more manageable. I...

Re: Called into the jobcentre

Dear Wendyone, Mind has chapters in most major towns, I believe they provide independent Mental Health Advocates, I do not know what they do in detail but I think it is worth contacting your local chapter of Mind. If they do not provide the service, they can point you in the direction of those that ...

Dear Rebecca,
yes, I would be very interested in reading your book.
I do believe that Mind.org has a publishing department - perhaps when your are ready, you could approach them for help with editing and publishing.
with best regards,

Re: Feel better with Around the World and up the Hymalayas with Michael Palin

This weekend I have been feeling better by watching 'Walking the Americas' which is on channel 4 on demand - The walking is with Levison Wood, who also walked the Nile and the Himalayas.
There are a few clips on YouTube.
Feel Better!

Or you might like 'Around the World in 80 Gardens' with Monty Don.
Also a BBC programme.

Even if we are stuck in doors - lets give our brains a holiday ;)

Re: Feeling confused, low, anxious....pretty much everything

Dear Square, You know, you are right, We need to call on these to account for themselves, and their behaviour. Some of them think that as we experience mental distress, then we are of no consequence. I am thinking of a letter to the Doctors with a copy sent to the hospital management. Perhaps a simp...
