Re: unsure

Thanks for the explanations :)

I think it sounds like it might be a good idea. I am getting a good sense of hope from seeing that you are finding ways to work through everything. Even if it seems we are in a complicated process.

Re: Hello

I think you need to go back to the GP and ask for a referral to the community mental health team. If you have had meds and short courses of CBT before that have not helped chances are that there are underlying reasons why the depression keeps returning and worsening. You need someone like a psychiat...

Re: Pete Walker Complex PTSD Book

I have that diagnosis but not heard of the book. I am waiting for therapy.

Be interested to know how you find it though.

Re: Really struggling

I think it is good to come out, but in your own time, because people's reactions can be difficult. I do think that is getting better all the time though. Especially in a university environment. Here you won't be judged for your sexuality. I am bisexual myself and it will be nice if one day we could ...

Re: How are things progressing Isap

Hey Isap :)

Are you still doing the yoga every day?
How is it going with your cellmate?
Are they still giving you your exercise?
Do you manage to get enough sunlight, vitamines?

Re: Advice needed to get help

Yeah I would definitely go to the GP and ask for a referral for a diagnosis and some therapy. Mental health is a real thing for a variety of reasons some physical, some environmental. A lot of mental health issues are not like you have this or you don't, a lot of it is a spectrum and the key questio...

Re: Alone

Welcome :) Try not to compare yourself with others. You seem to be quite focused on the idea of accomplishment.. but I am not really sure what that means. Your value as a person is not measured by what you achieve, but by who you are. I think when we don't feel good about who we are we wish for achi...

Re: Newbie

Good that you reached out here. Is there nothing you can do to build a social life for yourself? It is hard I know, but little steps, maybe making online friends, joining a club, visiting your local mind group if you have one.

Re: Newbie

Try not to give yourself too much of a hard time for recent mistakes. Maybe first work on getting better. Seek out some therapy. I think it is hard not to make mistakes if you have been struggling with issues your whole life.
