Re: Depressed girlfriend has ended our relationship

Hello and welcome to the forum, sorry you have to be here. As you've probably already seen, your story is very common, there are a few of us here who are going through or have been through the same, me included. The only advice I can give is if you think the relationship is worth saving, then hang i...

Re: Depressed boyfriend has pushed me away

Lillie it was so sad to read your post but I can relate to it in a way. I think your man probably needs to get everything out of the way before he can get around to fixing your relationship, its one small step forwards and a few back all the time until his court case is resolved. It's a good thing t...

Re: Depressed boyfriend has pushed me away

Ariane and Lillie Great to hear some good news! I'm still waiting and hoping for some of my own. Exercise is definitely good for depression, it releases endorphins, feel good hormones so the gym will be helping. Mine said it was one of the things that got him through before, and he's still got the m...

Re: Depressed boyfriend has pushed me away

Ah that makes more sense! Yes I agree. He thinks he was going to hurt me by letting me down, so pushed me away. I'm still hoping there is a way around this. We'll see. I just need to calm down and wait I think x

Re: Depressed boyfriend has pushed me away

James I really don't know. It didn't seem like that. We did meet for just an hour when he was here in December and he told me after that that he liked me from that first meeting - we then talked loads online until he came here in January ... we agreed we both needed a better year this year and were ...

Re: Depressed boyfriend has pushed me away

Thanks everyone for your input. I know the best course of action is to do nothing, but I'm also a 'doer' and talk myself into and out of things all the time. Most of all I hate to think someone I care about is hurting and I can do nothing, because I'm not being allowed to do anything. I don't believ...

Re: Depressed boyfriend has pushed me away

Ariane I do understand he can't deal with the pressures of me/ relationship at the moment but it is still so difficult with no contact at all, even 'I'm ok' .... but there has been nothing to say it's totally finished either. Even if he said give me a month, 3 months whatever I'd feel better about i...

Re: Depressed boyfriend has pushed me away

Hi Lillie I met his son, daughter in law and their children when he was here, we all went out for a meal together, and him and I also went for breakfast to the restaurant where his son works, but I wouldn't say I know him well. I am sure his son knows about his MH problems. I did message his son a f...

Re: Depressed boyfriend has pushed me away

Hi Arwen Yes its the limbo that is killing me. If I had something, anything, I would be ok but now there's nothing, no clue. My life goes on as it was before, I've been on my own for so long I'm happy as I am, I always say if I met someone it would be to make my life better, and he did. There's so f...
