Lozb

I often know the feeling, if you've made it to this website, might it help to just rattle some things off...?

Thanks for reaching out sam28 and dundarach. I've managed to get a few things down so far and to reply to some other posts.

I haven't been in a great place this week, very isolated and lonely yet with such low self-esteem that it's preventing me from even trying to contact friends. I just don't feel as though anyone wants me around and with the lack of anyone trying to contact me I can't help but feel that I'm justified in my belief.

I feel very trapped in a cycle of isolation and alcohol and I can't seem to find the strength/motivation to look after myself.

Lozb, you've come here and I've come back to see if you did.

Hope that means someone is thinking about you.

Do please try and talk to someone, alcohol is savage master, however there's people around and I do hear many success stories.

I was talking to a centre manager for a children's centre who told me about a mum who got help and is on the road to recovery, after losing her job and being convicted of drink driving.

A friend of mine has lost over five stone by going to weightwatchers, a man, get out there and being with people.

It's really hard, and depression is a crippling, debilitating condition which saps you of the energy to even try and overcome it.

Take small steps, try a few things, and report back please.

Dundarach
