Postby serpentpriestess » Thu Apr 18, 2019 7:13 am

Could anyone tell me where I could get info on/a list of psychiatrists who specialise in dealing with trauma? Thanks.

Hi there!,
the Royal College of Psychiatrist Web site is informative and designed for patients as well as the specialists (Who Knew?),
they provide very good and informative publications suitable for them person looking for help.https://www.rcpsych.ac.uk/
A really accessible site.
Best Regards B

Also your local branch of mind will hold a list of local recommended counsellors that specialise in various conditions.
: bereavement, trauma e.t.c.

Have you asked your GP. You can self refer to local mental health team and ask them if they have a pdoc who knows about trauma. Unless you can afford private treatment ( in which case try googling for specialist pdoc), then i think your local mental health team may be your only option. Aisling
