A mountain out of a clothes hill

Postby betterinrecovery » Sun Mar 24, 2019 6:48 pm

I tend to be a 'collector' of things: books mainly and magazines and a nice collection clothes.
Also for some reason have a lot of odd socks.
This can be a problem a while ago I had a really interesting discussion with a forum member on a different section of the Forum.
All the stuff can cause anxiety, but I do not intend to make 'a mountain out of a clothes hill'.
Trying to see the lighter side of a serious issue.

So, naming the problem has been good and useful.
Then asking for help from my partner has been like a mile stone. Saying: "I have a problem, I need help with this".
The next thing is to start keeping a diary so that I can record my little victories - and i can go back to read it when I think I am not making enough progress.
It would be a good idea to keep an online record here ...maybe :?:
I think mindfulness comes into it all in some way...have to work it all out.
Trying not to be embarrassed at all.
I am only human and I am going to be kind to myself.

Mindfulness,
just to add, doing a bit of mindfulness can calm the mind, a mind that can get really jumbled when there is a number of piles around

I must admit I feel so much better when I know I've got on top of sorting etc.
You know the saying about a tidy mind.

The clothes that are too big for me got put in a bag and down to charity shop. I feel they might help someone so it spurred me on to do it.
Still could do with more sorting out but if the weather is not so nice I don't mind as much. I just give myself a little task so I don't feel overwhelmed with it.

Dear Chris,

Best Wishes
