I have recently came up with a new technique for myself that seems to be helpful and eases my guilt. We all have days where we want to lie in bed, eating kebabs and watching game of thrones reruns, but we know we should be getting up and about, exercising, eating better etc. Plus we also know that we need to do the dishes, wash the clothes etc
I found the following daily routine eases my guilt and at the same time gets things done.
do one thing you NEED to do: example, do the dishes
do one thing you SHOULD do: example, go out for a walk and get some exercise
do one thing you WANT to do: example, have a long hot bath
after that, the rest of the day is your oyster
need, should, want. If this catches on im getting a patent
