Car insurance

Postby rhubarb » Wed Jul 25, 2018 10:43 pm

Has anyone got experience of getting car insurance with a diagnosis of psychosis or schizophrenia. I am thinking of getting a car but am not sure how much the insurance will be. I don't think I'll have any problems with the DVLA as I have not had any symptoms for over 4 years, but I am concerned that the insurance will be unaffordable with this diagnosis. Anyone got car insurance? How much do you pay?

I worked for car insurance recently. As far as I know, the medical condition isn't a factor in pricing. as long as the dvla have cleared you to have a license, you should be able to get a quote as per normal

Good news. DVLA confirmed my licence is fine and insurance have noted the condition on my policy but no increase in cost. Very very relieved...it took 3.5 months to sort out...but at last good result.
