Damn this is horrible. Panic attacks and pain in pit of stomach. At least I know what I have to do. Stop struggling and relax into the pain. Don't be bluffed by defeatist memories. Try and welcome the feeling with loving compassion. And let time pass.

Sorry to hear that you are struggling Chris.
Sometimes these thoughts and moods come from nowhere.
The black cloud will lift. One hour at a time.

Hello Caro

I know all our experiences of depression are different, but do you ever find yourself stuck in the scary fear of fear loop?

I'm just looking for reassurance. I've been there before but it's difficult not to think that each time is worse than the last.

Thinking of you too

Hello Chris

Yes i understand that fear of fear thought process.

I have been seen by crisis and home treatment teams many times.
I always say i feel i am the worst i have ever been, because i truly feel that. They answer by saying everyone feels that way when they are stuck in that spiralling black hole.
It is something that they hear daily.

Every time seems like the worst. The bottom of that black fear and doom is a scary place. It is difficult to see a way out, and having a professional to guide me helps me through until i feel strong enough to hold my head up again.

I know you aren't lucky enough to have professional support when you need it, but i hope my words help you see things more positively.

Take it minute by minute, hour by hour. It will pass xx

Hello Debs

I hope you are ok. I am assuming, hopefully wrongly, that you are worried by the visit to the psychiatrist. I don't think you need to be. If he doesn't change your medications, it's good. If he does, it's also good. They will make sure it's done properly and safely. You have nothing to fear.

God bless
