How are you getting on a week later? It's so unfortunate and so awful that this has happened at this time, but you must try not to blame yourself. It is a lesson that nearly every person with a mental illness ends up learning the hard way, "You must hang your emotions on a rock. But make sure it's not going to turn out a hermit crab." This sadly includes all human beings. It is too risky to hang your life on any sort of relationship. Even if you aren't caught up in it, the know down will hurt in all cases. But in your case it is about minimizing the risk of relapse. If you need to talk then advice is here :)

relationships change, and your mental illness may have nothing to do with that: you are young to commit to a long-term relationship and being at university can change your life in so many ways. look to getting better and enjoying the freedom that being at university brings you, rather than at trying to regain this relationship. yes, it's going to hurt for a while, but you will cope with help and understanding, hugs, Judith xxx
