My name's Paul and I suffer with severe/refractory OCD. I'm currently participating in an intensive inpatient treatment programme at the national OCD/BDD unit, Springfield Hospital London. I love to write, whether it's poetry, short stories, articles etc. I have been working on a blog for a while, and during my treatment here, I have been able to actually get it live and online. Below is one of the Poems I have written about my OCD. If you like it, and would like to read more, or some of my short stories and articles on mental health then please check out my site/blog. http://www.revolutionfrommybed.com
Thanks, Paul XxRumination Station
Slowly chugging to a familiar stop
The brakes shriek, as I sullenly stare, at the stagnant clock
A station I know, I know all too well
Its insipid sights, its sapless smell.
Alone, I sit, and wait
I ponder, think, analyse and debate
Stuck in a twisted, torturous, pensive state
I could power this train if its fuel were frustration
But its wheels remain locked
By perpetual, pointless, perverse, analysation
All that awaits, is a fate of total procrastination
If you choose to stop, at rumination station.
