Poem: Strange Place

Postby mezzaninedoor » Sun Jun 28, 2015 3:18 pm

I find myself in a Strange Place
Though I'm no stranger to it really
I can offer myself no grace
Though I need it dearly

I see a skeleton in the moons face
Though it isn't there clearly
It haunts me through the days
Any light I see I darken fearsomely

I've been to this strange place before
I've stepped through it's door
Thrown myself on the floor
Wearily

I love the imagery in this. Also the idea of a Strange Place. It captures the feelings when you start to fall and, although you've been there before, it still feels alien.
I hope you're doing okay today.
When I feel I can't endure, I remind myself that my record for getting through bad days so far is 100%, and that's pretty good.
