Hey, I’m new to this and a bit lost so thank you in advance for the space.
My Dad has attempted suicide twice now in the last 18 moths. The first time was minor in comparison to his second which I still can’t believe he survived. I don’t believe he does too. He has no mental health support as he says he is ok and doesn’t have these thoughts anymore. He is nearly 70 and lives in the UK for 5 moths of the year (and where his last attempt was). I know he feels this is private and doesn’t want to get help as he’s lived with this for so long. He says that he is just ‘done’. If there is any guidance on how I can support him that would be really appreciated.

Hi e1m8,
Sorry to hear what your father is going through. I don't have any words of wisdom, but just wanted you to know I was thinking of you. I know you say your father doesn't want any help, but can you speak to a family member/friend about this so that they are aware of the situation? Maybe they could help you to support him as doing this alone must be very stressful for you.

I am sure others may have some other information/advice for you and if so, will post. Wishing you and your father all the best. Aileen x
