Fatigue and sleepiness of meds

I am on a Haldol injection and find I fall asleep regularly and can't seem to stay awake. Even though it is being reduced. Also my sleeping patterns are erratic and I find myself awake in the early hours. Do others suffer this way? I have been on neuroleptics a long time and am attempting to be free.Who else would want this? If you had a choice?
