crisis team

hello, I went to the crisis team a few weeks ago, waited over three hours at the mental hospital,
then saw a crisis nurse who said he didn't understand exactly the problem, to go home think about it and ring another number, usually it's a better service, seen sooner and to see someone in person who cares and is thorough when in a crisis. is this just a one off? my gp says to try again if need be. Thankyou.

Hi pipsqueak,
That sounds like it could be a one-off. I've been treated by crisis teams before and in my experience they are usually very thorough, take you into an assessment room with either a psychiatric nurse or another member of the team and they will make sure they understand what you are going through.
Perhaps you could try again with a different crisis team?
How are you feeling today?

thankyou, it's usually been a good service, and as you describe your own experiences. I didn't complain but will tell my usual gp. they're the only crisis team I think. I've been a bit poorly today,
how are you keeping, ok I hope.
