Hi and welcome to you both.

I'm still not sure how this place works and I've been here for ages
Basically, not a chat room and few regulars so don't expect instant responses.

Most people start a thread here or in the mutual support room and say a little of what is on their mind. That will resonate with someone else who may respond.

The only real rule here to to respect one another. Feel free to post as much or as little as you like and join in on any thread. Sometimes people will offer advice or a willing ear but don't feel bad if they don't, everyone here is dealing with their own stuff too.

It was strange to come back and find people have responded. Nice though.
In considerable distress. My 17 year old son has dropped out of 6th form, given up on dreams and has left home. He has mental health issues too, and I've lived through very challenging times. It brought about a crisis in my mental health, the worst in 20 years, and the grief is unsurmountable.
Services have failed him and me, and us. Feel like my mother's heart is breaking.
