Hi Mel

Welcome to the forum!

There are a lot of good books that deal with getting rid of panic attacks.

Anything by Claire Weekes
DARE by Danny McDonagh
The Anxiety Trick by David Carbonell

This forum is small and quiet but you will find kind support.

Hi Melanie, welcome to the forum!

I used to have a lot of panic attacks but it got a lot better once I knew more about what it was and how to stop them early. I still experience anxiety but the panic attacks have pretty much gone away.

How are you doing? Are you seeing a dr or mental health professional about your panic attacks?

All the best,

V

Hi Melanie and welcome!

I'm also from Yorkshire but spend most of my time across the border now :)
I too have panic attacks, and have to organise my life to avoid triggers as far as possible. It took many years before I realised that I had autism and that this was the cause - I get stressed very easily due to autistic sensitivities - busy places, unexpected happenings, broken routines, awkward people, loud or sudden noises, bright lights, etc. Do any of these cause your panic attacks?
