I'm not new to forums but somehow signing up to this feels like a big thing.
Two things occurred to me from your post:
*How understanding/good/nice is your doctor? they can give you a load of options (not all drugs).
*Have you tried CBT? I managed to get a great psychologist on the nhs and she recommended this site: http://www.cci.health.wa.gov.au/
. It's pretty useful, but you need to print stuff out and write it down with a pen I found for it to work best (don't know why).
