Hello there, if you are reading this, then I hope you are doing reasonably o.k.
I haven't been here for a while, but I thought that coming back and doing a bit of writing might help me focus and I may cheer myself up and other people too perhaps.
I am sitting in the room where I keep my books, my spare tv (25 yrs old) and some old Video tapes, yes video tapes rather than DVDs.
I have to say that I did get rid of 70% of my video tapes last year, but there are some films that I haven't been able to get on DVD and any how, I still have the vhs player Yay!
One of the films is the Inn of the Sixth Happiness ( as a child I called it the inn of the six hapinessess) starring Ingrid Bergman.
I also have the book (that came before the film), The Small Woman - They tell the story of Gladys Aylward who was a missionary in rural China ages ago.
I remember watching the film during the school holiday and seeing her lead children away from an area that was being bombed.
But it is time that I thinned out the books, magazines and such.
doing this may help as I am in a pretty poor place on the mental health scale just now.
My pen name is betterinrecovery but I sometimes think this is a misnomer - as I often do not feel better and do not feel like I am in recovery.
So to be honest I am going to use this space as a tool to help me pull myself out of the depressive state I am in just now - things are pretty bad, so bad that I have to spend a good while in my bed....poor me.
