Listening to music makes me feel better at the worst of times. What songs lift your mood? Here are a few of my faves to start the list ....

Dear gsb,
your post prompted me to go and look up songs that I like. I don't play music much at home, tend to have the talk stations on, however, in the last few days I have had radio 2 on and I must say it has helped to lift my mood a bit.

My husband found me singing along to Natalie Cole singing 'Route 66'.
I love the 60's and 60's music.
and the music of the musicals.

very mood lifting.

I love any upbeat classic rock song. ACDCs Shoot to Thrill is a particular favourite

I have to say,
'I'm still standing'
has helped my survivie many a depressive episode.
and I think it helps that as well as being an uplifting anthem, Elton kn ows what he
is singing about and can chanel that in the music.

The song Keep smiling, keep shining (will find the official name)
with Elton, Dione Warwick, e.t.c
has helped me along too.

didn't know until now that Elton suffered from depression. maybe that explains his legendary temper and diva like behaviour

a bit of a cliché but "I will survive" is another uplifter
