Re: Recovering from childhood issues / getting away from abusive family members

Yes, i agree mihaela. Diagnosis is complicated when it comes to females, and lots more needs to be done to recognise the differences.

My post was really in response to a post which has now been deleted.
I think i will now step back and just read posts. It's easier on my mental health.

Re: Recovering from childhood issues / getting away from abusive family members

To have an autistic diagnosis requires very rigorous written questionnaire tests, followed by at least 2 intense face to face appointments, each lasting 3 hours plus. Re: Recovering from childhood issues / getting away from abusive family members

Midnight , I do hope you are able to get the support you need. You asked how I feel about my diagnosis. Initially it was a massive relief ,finally having a reason for my lifetime of struggles, not fitting in, and the many mental health crisis. The reality is not so great. I was literally diagnosed ,...

Re: Alone.

Em, i hope you don't mind me joining in. I am following your struggles, but feel unable to comment despite knowing exactly what you are going through. Anorexia has ruled my life for way too long. I just wanted to say thank you to Deb for that last paragraph. Your words reduced me to tears. As a Chri...
