Re: Gp/therapy experiences, please share

Hi I totally understand how anxious this is making you. 'm lucky that I get on with my GP but I have dealt with others not so understanding. I would write down how you are feeling and take it with you. If you can read from it then great, if not, hand it to them and let them read it themselves. Like ...

Re: New here, need to grumble about CMHT (*trig*?)

Hi You have my sympathies with CMHT, you really do. I had a couple of years of being completely messed around by them. One bit of the team clearly not talking to other and the only person suffering was me. I had to raise 2 complaints to get anything moving and to get me moved away from one idiot age...

Re: cutting myself at work

Hi I also self-harm at work and spend a lot of time trying to work out how to do it more etc. I think the key is going to be why you are doing it and finding another way of managing that issue. Do you have therapy/counselling? Do you get on with your GP? I think you need professional support - for m...

Re: Life's tough

Hi Deb I'm sorry you're losing something that you find helps you manage your mental health. I totally get how some structure and socialisation makes such a difference. Are you in a position to look for something else? Not sure I could do it though. You're so right about how mental health has been, i...

Re: Sertraline

Hi I'm in week 7 of sertraline and I find it hard going. I'd give it another couple of weeks before increasing to 100mg, give your system a bit longer to adjust to it. I know you probably are desperate to feel the benefits but I think if you go up too quickly you'll feel worse and its not worth it. ...

Re: Never felt so alone

I am so sorry you are going through this. Have you spoken to your husband since he sent the text? To be honest, I can't believe he said that and by text is even worse. I'm not sure how the love you have for someone is based on when they are working. Could there be something else going on with him th...

Re: Trapped and alone

Thanks for replying. I can see what you mean about keeping it to myself. Although some of the symptoms/signs are me completely, others aren't. Empathy - I have too much of so I appreciate its an odd one. I just want an off-switch so I could manage my feeling and emotions better, so they're not manag...

Trapped and alone

Hi I've recently been diagnosed with BPD even though I've had the symptoms for about 30 years. I'm waiting to find out if they'll offer me DBT but I'm not holding out much hope. the mental health team have been anything but helpful over the past few years. I'm struggling with work - I work full time...
