Re: How does other people with paranoia manage their paranoia

Some people are not good to be around. They can be jealous or unhappy with themselves and want to keep you feeling small to make themselves feel big. Some people also just seem negative or complicated and manipulative.

Re: How does other people with paranoia manage their paranoia

Thank you. I’m making changes next year, those things won’t be able to keep hurting me.

Re: How does other people with paranoia manage their paranoia

Oh that’s so sad. You seem so understanding and supportive. You would be missed from this group. I’ve never been in such a bad place, except a few years back when my mind was so full of upsetting thoughts that I just wanted it to stop. I heard voices and thought I was going crazy which was scary. I’...

Re: How does other people with paranoia manage their paranoia

Hey. I don’t know if I have paranoia but I do think certain people are saying things to upset me when they maybe aren’t. This in particular I am going to tackle head on by asking those people which is pretty nerve racking but at least I will know the truth. I am having a hard week, I’m sure it will ...

Re: Certain people trigger my panic attacks

Sorry to hear that. Do you know why you are hyper vigilant? Are there some situations where you are ok? I dont think I will ever know exactly why but its something that happened to me early on. It would be great if I could finally let this go. Other than this one thing I am doing well!!!!! Yes menta...

Re: Certain people trigger my panic attacks

Thank you. My therapist did some EDMR with me yesterday. She thinks there is a trauma there from childhood and perhaps that might help to lift it, I willl be less hyper alert to things that are said and done by them. Today I feel quite odd, like I’m losing the plot a bit, maybe I’m just tired

Re: First therapy appointment

Yes it was life changing for me. But it did take a little while for me to respect and trust my first therapist. I didnt always love all of his methods but talking about my problems to someone who was on my side was a massive relief. My current therapist is very different but has been excellent, I fe...

Certain people trigger my panic attacks

Hi :-) I have experienced anxiety for years now. Mostly its under control and I have a really good happy life. But one or two specific people trigger panic attacks for me almost every time I see them. It can also trigger a pattern of negative thoughts for days afterwards. I dont know what to do abou...

Re: Physical symptoms of anxiety getting too much

Gosh yes, my legs have been so numb that I once collapsed getting up to the toilet! I had the ambulance out, convinced something was very very wrong. I’m pretty used to it at the moment as I have a lot going on so have an attack every few weeks. But I wont let it stop me doing these things I decided...

Re: How long does depression last?

Wow you have a lot going on. That takes guts to admit a job is not right for you. You are brave! And you immediately sorted another job, a flat, then a house share...!!! I am a few years ahead of you and recently turned a big corner with accepting how people are and just drawing up better boundaries...
