Re: Private therapy

That's what I struggle with in mental health, they are only going by what you are saying, and it's their own personal opinion, whereas if you break your leg, every doctor is going to come to the same conclusion. Yes, I was diagnosed with BPD, which I told her. She said she disagreed because I have a...

Re: Private therapy

It will be with a therapist in training, supervised by someone who is accredited. As it is low cost therapy. Andys, your advice helped, even though I'm not paying much, it still calmed me down to know that she HAS to help me. However I was a bit annoyed because she said she didn't really agree with ...

Mirtazapine

Hi,
Does anyone here have experience of taking mirtazapine? How did it go for you? I've been prescribed it by the adult mental health team on top of citalopram, lamotrigine and aripiprazole, but I'm a bit concerned about the side effects...

Re: Private therapy

Thank you! I didn't know that most of them have some sort of connection to the NHS. Strangely, I trust the NHS a lot more than private. To me, to work for the NHS you have already proven yourself, whereas privately there is no proof that they're good at what they do. The reason I'm doing it is for t...

Re: Newbie alert!

Hey, welcome! :) I wish I could help you, but the truth is, I've just been dumped by my girlfriend who had depression. All I can say, is you need to be able to support each other and get plenty of support from other people, whether that's family, friends, medication, therapy... And be open and hones...

Private therapy

Hey guys, I have an assessment for private low cost therapy tonight, but I don't know what to expect. Could it be along the same lines as an NHS assessment? It's not as long though. The NHS therapists/psychologists have always been really nice. Do any of you have any experience with private therapis...

Group therapy - BPD/EUPD

Hey :) Just looking for people who have experience with group therapy? I finished CAT therapy (Cognitive Analytic Therapy) a few months ago and she recommended I do group therapy afterwards. I'm looking to go private as the waiting list will be never-ending, and I was wondering if it's really worth ...
