Re: Hating the people you love *SH trigger*

Thank you so much for your replies guys. I did manage to find a better balance for the rest of the trip - it seems silly now but I had a much better time when I stopped worrying so much about looking like I was having a good time. I also realised that maybe I was being too sensitive to their emotion...

Hating the people you love *SH trigger*

Ah! I'm on vacation visiting some good friends of mine who I am so happy to see. It should be great but I feel fucking crazy, i work so hard to keep a grip on my mental health. I make an effort to keep a sleep schedule, have semi regular meals, see my counsellor, self care all to prevent me from lit...

Benzo's / Short term medication

Hello everyone, I was wondering if anyone could share their experiences of using benzodiazepams (e.g. diazepam/Xanax/alprazolam/lorazapam) for treating anxiety. It probably sounds weird but I'm going on holiday soon - which should be fun/relaxing - but traveling can bring up a lot of triggers for me...

Re: Being treated like a child

Hi yshola75,

What's made you feel this way?

I'm sorry you haven't had a quicker response, sometimes the forum gets quiet when people are struggling, but there are people here to listen if you want to talk.

All the best,

V

Re: Catastrophizing - I need help!

Hi nn, Yes! I totally relate to what you are saying, it's awful and exhausting. For me, it has gotten better over time as my wellbeing has stabilized - but it does still happen and often I have to catch myself doing it and remind myself that these thoughts aren't really happening. I think most evide...

Re: Depressed boyfriend is emotionally flatlining

Hi Scn, I think james80 makes some very valid points and I wish you and your partner all the best. I would just caution that you are a professional caregiver (or training to be) in a relationship with someone who needs professional care, I think you need to be careful that you aren't unconsciously c...

Re: Reaching breaking point

Hi watsername, Welcome to the forum! I'm sorry to hear about your situation. That's so much stress and responsibility on your shoulders. I agree with mihaela about your husband's right to better mental health support, but I also think it's important you find some more support in the meantime as clea...

Re: Partner won't get help, I'm exhausted.

Hi Danielle, What a difficult position to be in! I can understand why you feel exhausted. It's a shame he had such a negative experience with CBT and that he was put off by the nurse's comments. It's incredibly difficult to feel motivated when you are depressed, even more so when you've been trying ...
