Re: Struggling and feel alone

REALISTIC THINKING You might like to write these down rather than just read, it will help reinforce and give you a sense of achievement however little. Anxiety is time limited Depression always lifts This feeling will pass, it never lasts forever I can get through this I can't predict the future so...

Re: Hello everyone :)

Welcome tchaik1812! I used to play the violin myself, so completely respect the fact that you want to become a professional <3 The most important thing to keep at it is to aim for the end goal in digestible stages. Then, each stage of progress acts as a motivator that you can work towards :) Much lo...

Re: Hello

Hello and thanks for the response. Pushing people away...hmm...tough question. I guess if you reject everyone they can't have the chance to reject you? I also think I just don't like letting people in I suppose. Inevitably everyone leaves so why let them in? Walls, even emotional ones, are a fortif...

Re: Really struggling

Hello again. I just replied to you in the newbie room about isolation! *** possible trigger warning*** Voices have usually been one of each sex, very demeaning, belittling and insulting. They take great pleasure in pointing out my worthlessness etc. The male is worst. I believe he originated from n...

Re: Suicidal thoughts...

Hey ginge, Welcome to SANE! About the cutting - I know it helps for now, but how does it help you resolve the problem? Short-term relief is not the answer for long-term satisfaction. By letting these feeling overcome you, you concede power to your dark thoughts and depression. Take back that power. ...

Re: Really struggling

Hi midspiper,

Welcome to SANE!

Would you be able to explain these voices in more detail - what do they sound like, what do they say, when do you hear them etc?

Much love,

RSxo

Re: Trig**** I cant do this anymore

Hi Cat, Don't attempt to self-diagnose - you will agree with statements that confirm your suspicion whether they are right or wrong. Your family appears to have been treated very harshly by health services. I would suggest that you request an appointment with a counsellor, as they can be very helpfu...

Re: Feel so alone

Hi Laura,

Depression is one of those things that make us feel like this. It's good to see that you are seeing a psychiatrist - might I suggest also contacting a counsellor to help as well?

Much love,

RSxo

Re: Needing advice - Constantly tired & anxious

Hi gunnerh, You've been extremely brave by submitting your story here - so well done! It appears as if you're caught in a catch-22. You are worried about anxiety and health, yet you don't want to go to the GP because of what your family will think, which makes it worse. Why would your family and col...

Re: Daughter

Hey Cassie, The most important thing as a parent is to be supportive of your child. Unfortunately, many people who suffer from mental health issues state that their family hasn't been around for them. Stay strong for her :) Have you considered consulting a counsellor for your daughter? Much love, RSxo
