Heartbroken, deeply distressed

So my bf broke up with me last night over text when I was at work. I was completely inconsolable last night and I feel even worse today. On top of this, my job is making me miserable, I am very, very unhappy where I work but can't take up another job as I need sick pay for an upcoming operation. The...

Re: Recovering depressive dating

Hi there,
Thank you for your advice. I've told him, and he was fine with it, took me by the hand and said 'I want to prevent you from being like that again.' I've been feeling pretty crap lately but I know I can beat this x

Re: I've lost myself

Hi lovely, Please, please don't give up. You are worth so much, even though you can't see it. You have the strength inside of you to continue fighting this shitty illness. You are NOT weak, you are extremely courageous. I believe in you. 3 months ago, I was in the same place that you're in now. Reco...

Recovering depressive dating

I've been suffering from depression for the past year and a bit, brought on due to university problems. I eventually dropped out university and now work part time, although I'm planning to start a new course in Sept 2017. I've been seeing this guy for a few weeks and so far it's going really well. I...

Re: Mental health and dating

Hi, Up until recently, I was seeing someone who had anxiety and depression. I myself suffer with anxiety, psychosis, depression and ocd. I found that we were able to comfort each other when going through difficult periods, but he'd go days without contacting me and then blame it on his anxiety. Obvi...

Re: Why is it?

Hi Chris,
Earlier on this year I was dating a guy who called me a 'clingy bitch' and told me my depression was an 'excuse' and/or 'not real.'

Needless to say, I dumped his ass.

Re: When something makes you smile

All of these stories are so lovely.

What makes me smile is knowing I'll get to see my second family (I work in a residential home for adults with learning disabilities) tomorrow - they always make me giggle and smile :)

Re: Feeling alone with my anxiety.

It definitely is hard. I've tried and tried, but they still don't understand. I'm not expecting them to understand everything, just to consider that I am ill and need support. I've finally found the right concoction of medication for me :) A mix of Venlafaxine and Quitipine adding up to a grand tota...
