Re: personality disorders

We know: try not to worry about that right now. You need to look after yourself xx Those articles you linked to also don't point out that bpd may be over-diagnosed by psychologists who simply don't "like" their patients. Based on the readingI've done it's such a stigmatised disorder that (...

Re: loss of feeling trig

How bad is this and how long has it been going on? If it's just concentrated around the self-harm marks then I'd agree with muchlove and make a GP appointment. If it's the entire arm then I'd go to A&E as that could be caused by tons of things, and possibly something serious.

Re: personality disorders

Just to be clear to those who felt nobodysfool was being tactless: In their other thread they mentioned that they'd been diagnosed with borderline personality disorder. Unfortunately because they didn't make this clear in their comment here it comes across that they're being very insensitive to othe...

Re: personality disorders

I've read the other thread and I understand more now why nobodysfool asked the question. It clearly wasn't meant as judgemental but unfortunately out of context that's how it comes across. Sorry, I know I sound vague but I don't feel like it's my place to start repeating personal things that another...

Re: hi

Hiya, If you feel like there's any pressure to do what the voices are telling you, then getting help is a very, very good idea. Apart from anything, you're obviously feeling very scared, and you don't deserve to have to deal with that all by yourself. You clearly don't want to hurt anyone, so why wo...

Re: personality disorders

does borderline personality mean ur gonna kill someone It's an imprecise name as the diagnosis has a very complicated history, but it refers to people who generally experience rapid and extreme mood swings and often have a terror of abandonment - among other symptoms. There can also be some psychot...

Re: personality disorders

If he charges for assessments and membership with no subsidy, there's a fair chance that he makes a profit and therefore his organisation can't be called a charity. If it's a profit-making organisation then it's a business. To be a charity, all paid services would have to go back into the running of...

Re: Anti depressant recommendations

I agree with Judith - you have to stick with them to see if they'll work for you. My attitude is that they don't change your mood so much as stop your brain going round and round and round in the usual negative cycles, which can lift your mood after a while because you start to look at things differ...
