Re: One step at a time

I did it.

We have massive windows all the way down the stairwell and it looks so nice out there. Why do I have to be so scared?

Thanks for the laugh re make up remover. I needed that. I doubt it tasted pleasant for you though!

One step at a time

I've made a decision and I'm posting it here so I'm forced to actually do it! I haven't been leaving home at all (except for being in hospital where I never went outside) and I know it will only get harder the longer I sit here. The thing is, I have a fear of being followed by random people who wish...

Re: Only been up an hour

I can understand that. I'm often the same. It's hard to find the motivation to go out when there doesn't seem any purpose for it. In the past I've got involved in classes at the gym like step aerobics and body combat. They boost those important endorphins and get you meeting people too. I'm not sure...

Re: The morning after

I've realised/discovered that I had a seizure whilst passed out from the alcohol last night. It's worrying. I have seizures anyway but they're pretty much under control with medication. I obviously can't tell if this was a 'normal' seizure or induced by the alcohol. If it's alcohol related then that...

Re: Only been up an hour

I can relate to 'refresh page' syndrome! Can I ask what in particular makes it hard to get out? Is it motivation or anxiety or something else? There are solutions to pretty much anything and maybe we can work something out. Do you think that would help you get through the days a bit better? If you h...

Re: The morning after

I'm not actually feeling at all brave right now! My plan for the day is basically to eat something, drink plenty of water, and otherwise just curl on the sofa with a few films and try to survive the day. I'm actually scared to call my key worker. I'm under the outreach team but, because of my trust ...

Re: The morning after

Acorn, So nice to hear from you. Thanks so much for last night. I'm sorry to have worried you. Unfortunately I can't get to the shop. It's only a three minute walk down the road but I've been incapable of leaving home for a while now. Even if it wasn't for that, I'm unsteady on my feet. From my calc...

Re: The morning after

PureFrustr8d, Your guess is as good as mine right now! I was diagnosed with BPD years ago and went into treatment. Just a couple of months ago I was in a specialist PD unit although not for treatment, just for an unrelated risk assessment. At the unit they said that I no longer have BPD and changed ...

Re: Only been up an hour

I feel for you. Hang in there. Is there something you could focus on doing? A little project? Or could you go out for a walk for an hour? That usually vitalises me although I know going out can be too difficult sometimes. I probably shouldn't be advising though. To be honest, I've only managed to tr...

Re: Back again

Feel free to curl up - sometimes it helps (I'm doing it myself right now). But don't hide. Talk on here, let it out, don't feel alone. You don't have to be alone when there are people here who understand.
