Re: How do I help someone with suicidal thoughts

I second what Loobyloo says about the police. They can be surprising understanding and supportive, and they can do more when someone is missing..then you can by yourself. A&E is another option, if your son tries to harm himself. I think the important thing is not be scared of calling in the prof...

Re: Compulsory shift system.

Thanks, i'm really worried about this. It will be difficult to get to see my original contract, and to be honest I think the plan is to get us all to sign new contracts. Kinda shape up, or ship out, sort of thing. I don't think I will be allowed to continue working regular hours, maybe I should offe...

Re: How do I help someone with suicidal thoughts

Morning. When I was suicidal, probably like most people..I just couldn't see that I needed to go to the doctors. Fortunately my friends could see I needed help, so they took me literally kicking and screaming to get some. Naturally I was not at all gratefull at the time, and to be honest I was too z...

Compulsory shift system.

Morning All! I have been employed at the same place for many years. Although my job is stressful, generally I am lucky enough to enjoy it, and I find it gives me much satisfaction. I have chronic depression, and my GP and Occy Health believe probably SAD. Currently I am managing these well with a co...

A Good Day.

Just want to say a BIG Thank You to Marmite, for giving me the confidence to go out today and have fun (Bowling this morning) and a good stretch and a good mood boost and stress buster at Tai Chi. As a result of today I am thinking that maybe I would feel o.k. about going swimming or at some later s...

Re: IT problems are benefit payments.

Hello and thanks folks. Spoke to the outreach team, and was introduced to my brother's new care co-ordinator. :) I explained the situation, and she said that yes there does appear to have been a problem with my brother's payments. Possibly someone had told them my brother had been sectioned again, w...

Re: I knew no one would care

I know that you have given me really good support that has really helped me. As in a previous reply, you are always so good at welcoming new ppl on to the site. Trolls are not welcome here, and I hope the moderators have dealt with them by kicking them off the site. I know that it can be difficult t...

Re: Grief: An important anniversary (trig)

Thank you, i'm having a lovely day..baking, gardening in the sunshine and knitting a most anticipated project for my nephew. I don't have many memories of mum, but today I remembered very clearly. That even though we didn't have much money, we never went without..because my mum was always making and...

Re: Dealing with the venom in my mind.

I can't see any reason why the social would take your son away from you, you obviously love your son very much...which is what is important. It's great that you have support from you mum, but it does sound like you could do with a bit help. Don't be afraid to ask for help if you need it, it doesn't ...
