Re: Challenging negative thoughts

Hi there. I think for me this depends on how I'm doing at the time. If I'm generally OK and having some negative or self critical thoughts I can see them and see what's happening and let them go and tell myself something more supportive. If I'm not in such a great place it's very hard to do that and...

Re: I need an outlet

When you say it’s not going well, what do you mean? That you’re not good at it or that you don’t enjoy it? Or something else? :D

Re: Getting help?

Thank you, I appreciate your reply. I think that I feel like I’ve got to be in a bad place at the point of seeing someone or it’s all ‘pretend’. But maybe it’s enough that I know that this happens frequently.

Getting help?

Hello everyone. Hope you are all having OK days today. I've had two weeks of feeling very low, very afraid and anxious. It's a cycle, some days feeling great, lots of days feeling rubbish. Bad times of day and how to manage them

Hello. I have marked times of day when I feel worse, first thing in the morning and the mid-late afternoon. In the morning I get by ok, I get up earlier than my family and do various things to ease into the day. But the afternoon is hard, I am often coming home from work or at home with my children ...

Hello, new here

Hello everyone. I’m new here. I’ve had lots of periods of, I guess, anxiety and depression - that’s what the GP has said. I almost never go to get help with it and I don’t really talk to anyone in real life about it. My partner is supportive but doesn’t have those experiences himself so I think it’s...

Re: New here- i feel really low

Hi Marjorie. Im new here too. I’m sorry you’re feeling so low. I remember feeling like that at uni too. You don’t have to go to your GP but you could, absolutely. I’ve had good and not so good experiences with GPs but at least they can tell you about options. Sometimes when I’ve felt really lost it’...
