Re: Not wanting to live.... but not wanting to die.

Hey both So I broke down at a routine nurse appointment today. She’s booked me in with the GP. She says there is nothing wrong from the sample she took, so it hopefully isn’t anything physical to worry about. Em I’m really sorry things are so bad right now. Not long ago you sounded so hopeful and excited.

Re: Not wanting to live.... but not wanting to die.

Hey So Sad Yes totally get you. I feel guilty every single day about my kids at the moment. Coz they are so sweet and innocent right.. we beat ourselves up when we are not perfect.. but it’s hard work giving so much of yourself, and we are only human - it’s better for them to know we are not superhe...

Re: Unwell

Hey, how are you now, do you struggle with your mental health in general? Is this something you’ve had before?
I’ve had panic attacks come out of nowhere. There has been a trigger but I didn’t realise, thought I was fine then it hit me..

Re: Not wanting to live.... but not wanting to die.

I’m not great but I’m ok thanks Em :-) There is a lot of fear around at the moment and I tend to feel other people’s moods! Physically I’ve been having symptoms which may just be of anxiety (stomach and back pain, needing to wee a lot) but I actually had a couple of much better days after my beauty ...

Re: Should I sacrifice my mental health for the mental heath of someone I love?

Have you explained to him that if he does not see a doctor and start getting better you can’t stay with him? Perhaps you and the kids could go and stay away for a week or just a weekend initially, tell him you need a break. Perhaps that will kick him into action. If you can get yourself some therapy...

Re: Help

Really sorry to hear that Doreen. Have you been back to your doctor or tried a different doctor? I remember you posting a while back and you’ve been struggling for a long time now.

Does he have any history of trauma that could be coming up unexpectedly ?

Re: A meds success story

Very true.. unless the main source of the problem is purely chemical (which it is for some) it can fix the worst symptoms but not the root cause :-( Hope you find a way to improve things into something you feel happier about. It’s never too late I don’t think. Improvements will come for mental healt...

Re: Anxiety, PTSD and Sertraline

Hey yes anxiety can definitely can cause all of this. Why not ask your doctor though? It sounds very much like a panic attack. I’ve had loads of them, you may find they become more frequent at some point. If you can reduce the factors which cause you stress that may help, and look after yourself. Ye...
