Re: Daughter with bipolar, OCD, BPD etc

Hi Polly, No problem at all. I wasn't much help, but just wanted you to know I was thinking of you. I'm sorry to hear that things have become so bad for your daughter, but hospital will be the best place for her at the moment and she will now hopefully get the help she needs to get better. Please do...

Re: She won't get help ........what do I do?

Hi swebster67, I'm sorry to hear that you feel so uncertain about you and your wife's future. I know how hopeless you must feel and how distressing the situation must be as I am going through a similar situation with my husband as he won't seek help either and he gets very angry and on the defense i...

Re: My boyfriend had BPD

Hi Corb, I know exactly how you feel as I still see my husband as the man I fell in love with too and know that he is a great guy. It is just this awful illness that takes hold at times and makes him extremely emotional and angry. I too can feel guilty at taking time out for myself to see friends/fa...

Re: She won't get help ........what do I do?

Hi swebster67, Firstly can I say that I am really sorry to hear that you and your wife are going through such a difficult time at the moment. I know how upsetting this must be for you to watch your wife in so much distress. I don't have any experience of Psychotic Depression so can't offer any advic...

Re: Working on a PICU ward.

Hi Peachesxx, It is only understandable that you would get upset at a patient self-harming; you are only human. I wouldn't worry about things too much as it sounds as though your colleagues are really supportive and will realise how difficult the job can be at first, especially if you are new to it....

Re: Early Intervention NHS disappointing

Hi jquinn, I'm sorry that your friend's son is going through such a difficult time and hasn't had the best experience of their CMHT. I too have witnessed this with the CMHT who visited my husband last year. They visited him twice, the first CPN and junior doctor seemed totally uninterested in his pr...

Re: My boyfriend had BPD

Having a husband who has Mixed Personality Disorder, I know how tough that is and how stressful/upsetting that can be. Please try to look after yourself as you will be a good support for your boyfriend if you stay strong and look after your own physical/mental health. It sounds as though you are alr...

Re: BPD and relationships

Hi, So sorry to hear about everyone's struggles with loved ones with Personality Disorders. Having a husband who has Mixed Personality Disorder and is emotionally unstable is overwhelming at times and really upsetting; but I try to focus on the good qualities that my husband has when he is not being...

Re: Help with depression in husband

Hi Amy, Just wanted to say that I am thinking of you and know how you are feeling regarding the strained relationship between your mum and husband. I go through that also with my husband as he can't stand my mum and definitely doesn't try to hide it and he doesn't understand why I feel the need to s...
