Re: Help, Mental health first or family obligations?

Depends on how you feel. For me I wouldn't go and learn to not care. Maybe I'd even give an excuse not to go. It's your life, if you don't want to do something, you shouldn't be forced to or feel obligated, especially if they are ****s.

Re: Need someone to talk too

It's easy for everything to fall apart for anyone. Maybe try the council for help for accomodation? Following the breakup will give you more opportunity to meet others. Hope things work out. Keep us posted!

Re: Probably just thinking aloud because it's late

Being single is very underated. Maybe try a dating site? Also maybe find a place where flatmates (if need be) are quiet people?

Mindfulness, Meditation, sleep and exercise

Hi just wanted to express how beneficial Mindfulness and meditation is and has helped me enormously in a very wide range of situations. I mainly use it at night time for a good sleep as my sleeping habits leave a lot to be desired (never manage to get to bed early, mind you my partner doesn't help a...

Re: Emotional resilience and the impact of its lack

I hope your councelling was good. My partner's councelling didn't seem to do much and even seemed to make things worse. She seems to be doing a lot better these days without it. Her mother was never really a mother and still isn't. Good luck with it though.

Re: Struggling....

What kind of films do you like? The mrs has horror films nearly every night. I liked them at first, but they are getting very boring for me now and there are a lot of rubbish horror films / series on the tv! I like a good comedy, but find it difficult to find any!

Which Uni are you at?

Re: Trig - had enough of being a no-one

Don't let your partner belittle you. She has no right to do this. She may have self issues and may be the reason for this. No point in hurting youself. I doubt there is a justifyable reason to do this and it won't do any good, only make this worse for yourself and others. Stay strong. Keep us posted.
