Re: Help for my wife

Dear Bimbims
I hope you are reasonably well, with all that is going on.
I do wish I had seen your post before today,
I thought this area was for information only,
I do hope I can think of places where you can get support.
Let me get back to you.

Re: Sunday Morning and the Mental Health Mountain

Dear Hyster and others who may be reading, I have been listening rather than reading The Compassionate Mind by Paul Gilbert. I believe he is a clinical psychologist. I have listened to his book 'talks with your therapist', very insightful and calming. I do recommend it. It can be purchased as a CD. ...

Re: Sunday Morning and the Mental Health Mountain

Hello to you, almost one week later! That is, one week after my post above. I didn't finish the CBT exercise. There is the review, when you are supposed to look at how things went and how you dealt with difficulties along the way to reaching your goal. Chris Williams talks about dealing with obstacl...

Sunday Morning and the Mental Health Mountain

Good morning, and I hope you are reasonably well. I have a reasonably steep mental health hill at the moment... it is a bit heavy going and has nothing to do with the books and magazines. With the depressions it would be easy to turn around now and go straight back to bed...and stay there all day; t...

Re: To lavender or not to lavender

Dear Samwamm, I do like what you said and I would like to reply, I dry the lavender from the plant in the garden (I just have the one), then I put it in little muslin bags... it is a lovely and relaxing thing to do. Funnily enough, I found some little bags in a craft shop, I think they were intended...

Re: A Mountain of Books and A Magazine Mountain

Dear fellow contributors and visitors, I was interested to see that quite a number of people have seen the couple of post on my mountain and mole-hill topic. This is encouraging and healing for me, I think maybe I am not as barking as I thought, (excuse the term, I hope it does not offend). I liked ...

Re: A Mountain of Books and A Magazine Mountain

So, more about changing my behaviour and decluttering.... I hope I am not being self-indulgent. Writing here is good, as it spurs me on. So clothes, shoes and books to local charity, very pleased that they were in good condition. Unfortunately very poorly, and I think I have to roll with the punches...

Re: A Mountain of Books and A Magazine Mountain

Dear Forum Members and Forum Visitors, So, I am writing from the heart, But I do feel a little bit vulnerable talking about the (hoarding) difficulties. don't really want to use that term...but we must name that elephant in the room (flat, house..etc). The key of course ...to bringing balance back i...

Re: new one

Dear Lucy and rsxo, Well, I came here to chat, but there is to chat :!: What is occurring? I am a little poorly just now, so I am needing to have quite a lot of down time. The down time includes watching my favourite costume dramas and watching contemporary drama box sets.... yes, I discovered 'Suit...
