Re: My day and torment

Hi, this may be a silly question as I don't know much about what its like to hear voices but would like to better understand- when you hear the voices in your head (and assuming they are not your voices) can you not speak to them, ask them what they want that sort of thing or am I being really naive...

Re: Husband's depression - I can't cope anymore

@Ajem i think you may need to try something that reaches your husband and can help him to come back to you and others ie connections with others. Depression is a very lonely painful place and it can be extremely hard to get out of it. Maybe it would help you both if you could find something you know...

Re: Help

Hello Hen22, If you don't mind me saying you seem very young to have such long working hours and responsibilities - can you speak to your employer about the difficulties you are having? work places/employers are supposed to be a lot more understanding and accommodating these days of staff with disab...

Re: How to move on?

Hello Prostseagule, there may be a few peer groups near where you live that the GP can refer you to. Or failing that you should have a carers group/forum in your locality. Please have a good look around to see whats available - you may be able to do this as well via your local councils website. Hope...

Re: Tell Me Something About You

Hello Shanlon, I think its understandable and normal that you are still affected by your mum dying in 2016. Can you say what you are feeling anxious about? When my mum died in 2010 i couldn't grieve for her or when my dad died in 2012. I had switched off prior to both deaths as I was having to deal ...

Re: Tell Me Something About You

Hello Rin,
in regards to your nursing course do you think you maybe need some time out from studies (you are still so young and can go back to it) when things are a bit more settled with your health and other issues?

take care

Re: Crisis team?

Hello all, Sorry to keep hearing about people not getting the help they need from crisis teams. In my case it wasn't so bad. A few months ago I contacted my local mental health crisis team who provided me with the support I needed at that point (appointment next day, 2 visits at home from MH nurses ...

Re: Is this wrong?

I remember many years ago when I was sectioned and being in a meeting full of professionals asking me stuff and I really couldn't speak - couldn't verbalise things and the main person asking the questions got angry with me. I think your assessor took the wrong approach and needs better training/ bei...
