I have very little knowledge of the legislation as far as mental health matters is concerned but perhaps someone like Mind or Rethink the mental health charities may be a place to start for asking advice, atb Aisling.

If your doc signs you off sick you can apply for employment support allowance, ctax benefit and housing benefit for your rent. Aisling

Having a dog phobia myself i have a little sumpathy with your daughter. Perhaps a solution would be to get one of those metal cages people put their dogs in at night and put the dog in their when she comes round, they are large enough for movement particularly for a small dog. Thank you betterinrecovery, i have googled SAD, and 10% of people affected react badly in summer, also the highest incidence of suicide occurs during spring/summer. Deb
