Hi there Antidepressants typically take about 6 weeks to kick in. After you start taking, your anxiety levels actually rise for the first 4 or 5 weeks before disappearing. Hi Chris Everything I've read about that eye movement therapy is .... let's say dubious. I'm guessing you're paying a lot for it too. Cognitive behavioural therapy is known to be effective for anger issues. As with anxiety and depression, knowing the cause is kinda interesting but doesn't help much....

Hi Sam The advantage of starting ADs at a high dose is that they may kick in quicker. The disadvantage is that the side effects may be worse. It may be that he started you on 200mg because you were on that dose before. Can I ask why you stopped taking them? Or were you on a different AD in between? ...

Hi Laura You're very lucky to have a supportive husband. Many people don't have anybody! His presence will ensure you do nothing stupid. Those thoughts are normal for all depression sufferers but they are just thoughts, not reality. When you have them, try and laugh at them. CBT will definitely help...
